Jerry Baker Anderson

Reverend Jerry Baker Anderson, 87, of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at University Hospital. Jerry was born May 23, 1934, in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of Jeremiah B. Anderson and Lucy Baker Anderson. He was a graduate of Hannibal LaGrange College, the University of Missouri, Columbia, with a degree in business and Washington University where he earned a Master's Degree in Hospital Administration. In 1958 he was united in marriage to Amy (Scott) Anderson at the Baptist Student Union at the University of Missouri. She preceded him in death in January of 2021. Jerry owned his own businesses as a developer, contractor and real estate agent. Throughout his life he also served as pastor to Dry Fork Baptist Church, Carrington Baptist Church and Littleby Baptist Church. He served on the board of Hannibal LaGrange University and the Missouri Baptist Foundation. Jerry and Amy enjoyed family, traveling and music. He is survived by one son: Jerry (Sharon) Anderson of Holts Summit; four grandchildren: Jerrod (Anna) Anderson, Alicia Anderson, Nicholas Anderson, James (Kayla) Anderson; three great-grandchildren: Judah Anderson, Jasper Anderson and Jack Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one son: Jeffrey David Anderson. Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 11 a.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
