Diane Marie Rastede Piper

Diane Marie Rastede Piper, 72, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. She was born June 11, 1949, at Benthack Hospital in Wayne, Neb., daughter of Erwin Wesley Rastede and Ella Marie Cogdill Rastede. Diane graduated from Laurel High School in 1967. She was a devout Lutheran and remained in her faith attending Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson City. She always had a love for banking and helping those around her. This started with a move to Centerville, Iowa and working at Iowa Trust and Savings Bank for nine years. She then moved to Jefferson City, Mo. and was employed at Personal Care America Federal Credit Union, inside the Unilever plant for 25 years. After her retirement she worked a few part-time jobs and enjoyed being around people. She also had a love of working with her flowers which she was able to do during her retirement. Diane loved to travel and find unique treasures along the way. Diane is survived by her son, Jason T. Piper (Mindy) of New Bloomfield and three grandchildren, Alexis, Andrew, and CJ.; one brother, Gary Rastede (Judy) of Concorde, Neb.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be 4-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a Celebration Service to follow at 5:30 p.m. with Pastor Randy Dignan officiating.
