James Russell Bell

James "Jim" Russell Bell, 85, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at home. Jim was born in Fulton, on September 29, 1936, to the late James Water Bell and the late Jessie E. (Atterberry) Bell. He was united in marriage on December 31, 1969, to Sharon (Dungan) Bell, who survives him. Jim loved to hunt and fish in his spare time. He was an equipment operator and worker for the Fulton State Hospital for 34 years. He also ran a DX filling station in Hatton. He was a good friend, and never knew a stranger. Along with his wife, he will be fondly missed by his son, James Wayne Bell (Anna) of St. Martin; daughters, Debra Wilson, Sheila Kay of Kentucky, and Patricia; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Juanita Fay Bell; brothers, Raymond L. Bell and Wayne Goff; sister, Mable Jones; one granddaughter and one grandson. Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Paul Klepees officiating.
