Mary Frances Estes

Mary Frances Estes of Fulton, Mo., passed away October 1, 2021, at University Hospital, Columbia. Mary was born January 2, 1927, in Mexico, Mo., the daughter of Claude and Bessie Wyatt Estes who have preceded in death. She was married on December 9, 1946, in Fort Scott, Kan. to John F. Estes who preceded her in death. She worked many years for International Shoe Co. and Samuel's Shoe Co. followed by 21 years at Fulton State Hospital as an LPN. She enjoyed her work at the hospital and after retirement gardening, bird watching and visiting shut-ins. She was a member of the Church of God Holiness. She is survived by one son, John W. Estes (Cathy) of Overland Park, Kan.; two granddaughters, Melissa Zitter (Tim) of Overland Park, Kan. and Jennifer Macke (Brian) of St. Charles, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren, Andrew Zitter (Lenna) of Hanover, Md., Ryan Zitter of Overland Park, Kan., Sarah Zitter-Masindi (Thalu Masindi) of Chicago, Ill., and Abigail, Isaac, and Caleb Zitter of Overland Park, Kan., Samuel and John Macke of St. Charles, Mo.; two great-great-grandsons, Philip and Timothy K. Zitter of Hanover, Md. She was also preceded in death by one son, Phillip Estes. Visitation was held at Debo Funeral Home on Friday, October 8, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services were held at Church of God Holiness in Fulton, Mo. on Saturday October 9, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Burial followed at Reform Cemetery.
