Mark Alan Berrey, 52, of Laddonia, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021, at Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City. He was born in Mexico on September 14, 1968, the son of Bobby Alexander and Bonnie Katherine Erdel Berrey. He married Debra Lynn Meeks on November 12, 2013, in Key West, Fla. and she survives. Mark was a lifetime area resident, graduate of Community R-6 High School and Christian by faith. He attended University of Central Missouri where he was a member of the Sigma Tau Epsilon Fraternity. He worked as a Safety Manager for the Ameren Power Plant. Mark enjoyed Mizzou football and basketball, tractors, his grandkids, boating at Mark Twain Lake and spending time with friends and family. Other survivors include: his mother, Bonnie Berrey of Monroe City; two step-daughters, Nicole Baniak of Eureka and Erica (Ricardo) Medrano of St. Peters; one brother, Stephen (Emily Richmond) Berrey of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two sisters, Katherine "KD" (Elizabeth Mathews) Berrey and Susan Berrey, both of Columbia; three grandchildren, Jack Devine, Ricky Medrano and Adalynn Metcalf. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Laddonia with Reverend Nancy Kellstrom officiating. Burial will be Laddonia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Erdel, Justin Webber, Larry Nesbitt, Gene Moore, Tim O'Day, Gerry Rauch, Chris Webber, Calvin Webber and Jason Erdel. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
