Joey Boyd Gooldy, 59, of Williamsburg, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the University of Missouri Hospital with his girlfriend of 35 years, Tina McGee, by his side. Joey was born on December 19, 1961, in Mexico, Missouri to John H. Gooldy and Mary R. Gooldy of Auxvasse, Mo. Joey was a bull headed, hard working man who spent 30 years as a Union Cement Mason for Local Union 518. Joey loved to fish, but above all, he loved to watch his Kansas City Chiefs play football. Joey was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary; and brother, Ross W. Howard. Survivors include his girlfriend of 35 years, Tina McGee and her daughter Kim; his oldest brother, Dennis Howard and his wife Dorthy of Novalty, Mo.;, his only sister, Mary Anne Watson and her husband Bert of Fulton, Mo; his nephews, Todd Gooldy, Kelly Gooldy, and Justin Erbschloe; his niece, Elizabeth Erbschloe and several other great-nieces and nephews. Joey will be remembered by all as the definition of "True Grit", a man who was stubborn, rough around the edges, loyal, and had a heart of gold. He will truly be missed. No services will be held.
