Berdeina S Cox, 83, of Fulton, Mo., passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, at Boone County Hospital, Columbia, Mo. Berdeina was born November 27, 1937, in South Muddy Township, Jasper County, Illinois, daughter of Earnest L. and Juanita L. Gorrell Sparks. She married Jacob Harrison Cox on January 9, 1955. Berdeina was a member of Open Heart Baptist Church of Columbia, Mo. She was a pastor's wife for over 50 years until her husband proceeded her in death on April 4, 2016. She enjoyed her flower gardens with the birds and squirrels that frequently visited the yard. Berdeina loved her family and enjoyed sharing little Danish cookies with her great-grandchildren. She was blessed to live long enough to see her family grow into five generations, consisting of four children, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Surviving are four children: Debra Thomas (Mark) of Kansas City, Mo., Amy Easley (Bob) of Fulton, Mo., Laura Roberson (James) of Fulton, Mo., Jill Canfield (George) of Republic, Mo.; one brother: L. Keith Sparks (Pat) of Charleston; 13 grandchildren, Kimberly Anderson, Eric Anderson, Chad Greenburg, Lerose Morales, Matt Flowers, Micah Flowers, Lance Flowers, Brandon Flowers, April Masterson, Anthony Roberson, Amanda Wilmsmeyer, Caitlin Birge and Jacob Canfield; along with fifteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Berdeina was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob; her parents, Earnest and Juanita; and one great-grandson, Caleb Easley. Visitation was held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton, Mo. Funeral service followed at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the funeral home with Rev. Anthony Stephens officiating. Burial was in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
