Marion Ruth Lueckenotte, 74, entered the presence of our beloved Savior and Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2021, surrounded by love and family. She was born March 5, 1946 in Springfield, Mo. to Charles "Oscar" and Martha Brooks. Marion was blessed with the gift of servanthood and an abundance of creativity. She made all feel welcome with her warm greetings, hosting events, abundant giving, and making everyone feel a part of something special. She faced many obstacles throughout her life but found ways to overcome and continue to be a blessing to others. She loved bringing joy to others and showed this in her many jobs she held throughout her life. Her passion for others was most notable working with the elderly in nursing homes as an activities director and her many years as a teacher's aide working with children, especially those having special needs. Her life and faith were one in the same as she immersed herself in various church ministries from the nursery room to the choir loft, bringing joy and smiles to the young and old alike. Witty, thrifty, talented, and fun are just a few words that can describe Marion. She had an innate ability to find deals and loved hitting garage sales and thrift shops. Her home exhibits many collections of tea pots, dolls, figurines, and literature. She loved her art studio and her music room where she spent time painting, drawing, crafting, playing music, and sharing her gifts with others. She spent time with her husband gardening, canning and relished her moments with him on the porch admiring God's canvas and creations. Marion was blessed with a large and growing family. Her love was an unconditional love that transcended and persisted regardless of circumstances. Whether separated by distance, time, or hardship this love of her children and grandchildren permeated in her conversations and was exhibited throughout her home. No wall was untouched in her house without pictures of loved ones, family artwork or her faith. Married on December 13, 1980 to Richard O. Lueckenotte, she found her soulmate and best friend. They were inseparable, always finding moments for each other. Whether conquering a move to a new city, juggling seven children, or going on adventures to new restaurants, their affection for each other was evident in their every action. Their timeless love is evident in their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren which they both take great joy. She is survived by her husband, Richard, children: Stana Gordon of Lohman, Liana Stratton (Edward) of Centertown, Jennie Schnieders (Justin) of Jefferson City, Joseph Nichols (Teresa) of Taos and Dustin Lueckenotte (Rebecca) of Olathe, Kansas; son-in-law: Darrin Summers of Taylor; step-son: Kevin Lueckenotte; 18 grandchildren: Curtis Goben, Michael Sanders (Jamie), Russell Sanders, Danielle Denney, Kyle Denney, Ryan Denney, Cory Denney, Austin Schnieders, Nick Schnieders, Garrett Schnieders, Nathan Schnieders, Brett Schnieders, Brooks Nichols, Whitten Nichols, Josephine Nichols, Cooper Nichols, Thane Lueckenotte, Calynn Lueckenotte; three step-grandchildren: Mackenzie Boehmer (Kayle), Trevor Stratton and Zach Stratton; great-granddaughter: Sapphira Sanders; one foster step-great grandchild and numerous family and friends.
