Ronald "Ronnie" Gene Hague

Ronald "Ronnie" Gene Hague, 72, of Jackson, Mo., passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Southeast Healthcare Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Ronnie was born on July 18, 1948, in Trenton, Mo., the son of Robert Jean Hague and Elizabeth "Libby" (nee Carpenter) Hague, who preceded him in death. Ronnie's first jobs were at his mom and dad's A&W Root Beer Stand in Fulton, Mo. as a carhop and in the family grocery store in Trenton, Mo. Ronnie lived in California for almost 40 years, and his heart remained there on the beach. He only left to return to Fulton to care for his father in his last years. Ronnie loved buying homes, remodeling and decorating them and collecting various collectables. He was a talented cook. Ronnie was a hair stylist, owning shops in Fulton, Mo. and in Los Angeles, Calif. Survivors include: one daughter, Melissa "Lisa" Bails and husband Dan of Omaha, Neb. and two granddaughters, Riley Bails and Sailor Bails of Omaha, Neb. He is also survived by a "brother from a different mother", Robert Wise of Jackson, Mo., as well as a dear friend, Muriel Wilcox of Long Beach, Calif. and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Hague. Per Ronnie's wish, he is to be cremated and there will be no service held. His ashes will be spread in two places very dear to his heart. Memorial contributions are suggested to the HIV/AIDS charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements provided by Liley Funeral Homes, Marble Hill, Mo.
