Wilma Jones, 70, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. She was born in Fulton on May 13, 1950, to the late Ray Gilger and the late Maxine (Phillips) Gilger. Wilma has a strong Christian faith and love of God. She was a life-long member of Southside Baptist Church. Wilma retired from Fulton State Hospital, where she worked as an aide, after 30 years of service. Her hobbies included reading, singing, crocheting, and puzzles. The love she had for friends and family could be felt while visiting with them and in phone conversations. Wilma will be fondly remembered by son, Gary Unger; daughter, Becky Horn; sister, Loretta Ghandehari; grandchildren, Chris (Sara), Jordan (Erik), Brittany, Jeremiah (Jaida), Phillip, Courtney (Mason), and Cassie; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Cassius, and Maverick; nephews, Dell Ray (Kim), and Steven; and nieces, Jody, and Jeanette (B.J.). In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by daughter, Renee Ledet; brothers, Gary Voyles, and Norman Voyles; and niece, Brenda Lee. A memorial service will be planned in the fall.
