Danny Pamplona Vaught

Danny Pamplona Vaught, 53, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born a U.S. citizen abroad in Olongapa City, Philippines on the Subic Bay U.S. Naval Base on May 25, 1967, to Roscoe Earl Vaught and Lolita Ranches Pamplona Vaught. Danny graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1985. He played offensive and defensive tackle 1st string for the 1985 State Champion Jefferson City Jays football team. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Columbia College and he received his Master's degree of Engineering in Civil Engineering Construction Management from the University of Alabama. Danny was united in marriage to Bonita Irene Weber on August 18, 2012, in Jefferson City, Mo., who survives at the home. He served his country in the United States Army, 3rd Ranger Battalion and was honorably discharged. Danny was a Police Sergeant and S.W.A.T Team Commander with the Fulton Police Department and Callaway County Sheriff's Department for many years. He also worked for Midland Transport as a HAZMAT fuel route manager. Danny currently owned and operated Vaught Farrier Services. Danny was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Msgr. John B. Pleus Council, where he was currently the Grand Knight. He was also a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, former State President of the Knights on Bikes, and was very involved in raising money for the new Special Olympics building. Survivors include his wife Bonita Weber-Vaught, of the home; his father, Roscoe Vaught, Holts Summit; his mother, Lolita Vaught, New Bloomfield; loving father of six children, Tyler (Amber) Vaught, Dannyel (Chad) Edde, Austin Vaught, Kayce Vaught, Isla Jones, and Eden Jones; four grandchildren, Natalyee Moss, Gavin Clarke, Johanna Edde, and Thomas Vaught; and one brother, Jammie Vaught, Fulton Visitation was 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial was at 12 p.m. Wednesday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald Antweiler officiating. Burial was in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorials wer suggested to Immaculate Conception Church for Masses. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
