Harry Linwood Brooks, 74, Fulton, Mo., passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. Harry was born on October 10, 1945 in Fulton, Mo., the son of William Elliott "Abe" Brooks and Ima Marie (Davis) Brooks, who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Vietnam War. On, January 25, 1970 in Fulton, Mo., he was united in marriage to Elizabeth "Liz" Rusk. Harry was a mail clerk for the United States Postal Service in Columbia, Mo., retiring in 2010. He was of the Methodist faith, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include: his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Brooks of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Brooks of Kansas City, Mo. and Rebecca Quick of Fulton, Mo.; one brother, Bill Brooks (Linda) of Auxvasse, Mo.; one sister, D'Ann Hughes (Ronnie) of Kingdom City, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Jim Rusk of Fulton, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Janice Slominsky of Louisiana, Mo.; four grandchildren, Shella Robertson, Donna Zack, Tyler Zack and Canon Farley; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Campbell, and one niece, De Etta Hughes. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton, Mo. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce officiating, followed by full military honors.
