Doris Bridges Christopher Russell, 88, of Fulton, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020, at Boone Hospital Center. She was born in Portland, Missouri on November 11, 1931, the daughter of the late Haddon Bridges and the late Myrtle (Bess) Bridges. Doris and her husband Clifford were in the restaurant and construction business. They built many houses in Fulton. Doris owned Frontier Bar and Grill in Kingdom City, famous for the "Doris Burger", and Cyntos in Fulton. Doris found her greatest joy in time spent with her children and grandchildren. Doris's memory will be cherished by son, Tom Christopher of Fulton; daughters, Janis Blattner of Fulton, and Elaine Kinkade (Kevin) of Vandalia; son-in-law, Butch Gentry of Auxvasse; grandchildren, Cliff Fleming, Curt Blattner (Amy), Jay Blattner (Amanda), Bridgette Hicks (Tony), Steven Fischer (Cheryl), John Fischer (Danielle), Brandon Fischer, Tommy Christopher, Gabe Christopher, and Courtney Cruea (Dean); 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford Christopher; daughter, Sharon Gentry; brother, Laurus Bridges; son-in-law, Douglas Blattner; daughter-in-law, Margaret "Margy" Christopher. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Portland Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.
