Richard Sr. Alan Smith

Richard Alan Smith Sr., age 67, of Fulton, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 27, 2020. He was born June 7, 1953, the son of the late James Smith and Gwendolyn Smith. He was married to the late Pamela Sue Smith on August 29, 1993, who preceded him in death on October 4, 2018. Richard attended school in Union Spring N.Y. He graduated in 1973. He attended college through the Military from 1973-1977. He was stationed at the Korea Demilitarized Zone. After getting out of the military, he spent his days as a mechanic. He owned Valley Auto Repair and Smith Automotive in Fulton with Pamela. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, morel mushroom hunting, camping, riding motorcycles and spending time with his many grandchildren. He is survived by his sons, Richard Alan Smith Jr. (Brenda), Daniel Brian Smith; daughters, Amanda Jane Smith, Megan Michelle Laird all of Desoto, Missouri; daughter, Amanda Lynn Tate (Stephen); sons, Matthew James Smith, Landon Lee Smith; mother-in-law, Alma Fern Harris, all of Fulton, Missouri; siblings, Linda Benton (Pete) of Florida state, Shirley Sherman (Joe), Robert Smith (Chris), and David Smith (Gema), Sue Smith of New York State. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Barbara and Kathy; and brother, Jimmy. Interment will be at a later date.
