Michael Lee Martin

Michael Lee Martin, 65, of New Bloomfield, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. He was born in Callaway County on July 29, 1954, to the late Glenn Thomas Martin and the late Lorene (Peterson) Martin. Mike worked at Harbison Walker, New Bloomfield Schools, and most recently, Gastineau Log Homes. He was a fan of dirt track racing and in his spare time, enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family and teasing people. He will be missed by son, Shawn Martin of New Bloomfield; life companion, Rose Sundermeyer; brothers, Kenneth Martin of New Bloomfield, Larry Martin of Columbia, Donald "Chigger" Martin (Carol) of Fulton, and Bobby Martin (Sharon) of New Bloomfield; sisters, Glenda Salmons (Doug) of New Bloomfield, Reva Hoover of Fulton, Beverly Cassidy of Fulton, and Nancy Brown (Bob) of New Bloomfield; grandchildren, Jalen and Katie Martin; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by sisters, Patsy Burton and Jackie Cole. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
