Richard Glenn Adams, 92, of Fulton, Mo., passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. Richard was born on May 25, 1928 in Callaway County, Mo., the son of Oscar and Myrle (Craighead) Adams, who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict, being honorably discharged in 1956. On October 10, 1953 in Fulton, Mo., he was married to Bonnie Vandeloecht, who preceded him in death on June 26, 1977. He then married Mildred Olson who preceded him in death in 1988. Richard attended Richland Baptist Church and Unity Baptist Church. He was a master carpenter, cabinet maker, life teacher. His construction company built many homes in Callaway County, along with developing two subdivisions, Lake Champetra and Shady Hills. He was a row crop and cattle farmer. Richard loved his home overlooking the beautiful countryside and spending time with his family and hunting and fishing on his farm. Survivors include: two sons, Carl Adams (Janie) of Fulton, Mo. and Allen Adams of Fulton, Mo.; two daughters, Beverly Foster of Fulton, Mo. and Nancy Rice (Francis Leake) of Fulton, Mo.; six grandchildren, Derek Foster, Chance Foster, Tyler Rice (Melissa), Leann Richards (Aaron), Greg Adams and Blake Adams (Lori); and five great-grandchildren, Jackson Adams, Avery Foster, Sylvia Foster, Ladd Foster and Arlo Rice. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Martin Adams, Curtis Adams, Odie Adams, Robert Adams and Kenneth Adams; and one sister, Lucille Hawkins. Private burial will be held in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton, Mo. Celebration of life will be held at a later date with full military honors.
