Kathryn Louise Pope, 87, of Lee's Summit, Mo., formerly of Fulton, Mo., passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, Mo. Kathryn was born on May 14, 1933 in Higginsville, Mo., the daughter of Franklin and Helen (Burton) Jackson, who preceded her in death. She married Joseph Warren Tate in Callaway County, Mo. and they had three children together. He preceded her in death in 2011. She was married on May 12, 1976 to James Pope, who preceded her in death on December 25, 2014. Kay was a member of Richland Baptist Church near Kingdom City, Mo. She retired from Fulton State Hospital in 1995. Survivors include: two daughters, Cheryl Blankenship (Paul) of Lee's Summit, Mo. and Janice Rothermich (Dale) of Fulton, Mo.; three sons, Bruce Tate (Karen) of Lake Ozark, Mo., James Pope (Judy) of Ames, Iowa and Joseph Pope (Mary) of Cherokee Village, Mo.; one brother, Terry Tate (Debbie) of Fulton, Mo.; one sister, Candis Salmons (Butch) of Fulton, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Christina Feltner; one sister, Carolyn Jackson; and three brothers, Gary Jackson, Michael Tate and Paul Tate. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Debo Funeral Home Fulton, Mo.
