Robert Louis Martin

Robert Louis Martin, 56, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 following a valiant battle against cancer. He was born in Butler, Missouri, the son of the late Edward Louis Martin and Sarah (Carpenter) Martin. Robert was married to Elizabeth "Beth" (Adams) Martin on August 23, 2002. She survives his passing. Robbie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening with his family. He loved spending time in the woods mushroom hunting and looking for arrowheads along the creeks. Robbie was a deacon at Reform Baptist Church where he spent his Sundays. He was a union sheet metal worker in the area for over 30 years and took great pride in his work, often pointing out various buildings he had worked on in the community. Those remaining to cherish his memory include his mother, Sarah Martin of Fulton; wife, Beth Martin of Fulton; sons, Cori Axel Martin (Nicole) of Hallsville, Tyler James Adams of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jordan Lee Martin of Fulton, and Kyle Edward Martin of Fulton; brother, Richard Martin (Peggy) of Fulton; granddaughter, Sophia Martin; and nieces, Tiffany Martin (Devin Quick) and Steffany Fischer (Adam). In addition to his father, Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Martin. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Rick Conley officiating. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
