Mary Jane Glasford

Mary "Jane" Glasford, 79, was called to her Heavenly home on Sunday, June 2, 2019. She was born on August 11, 1939 in Laddonia Missouri, the daughter of the late Lewis Waldo Gibbs and the late Eliza Josephine (Crockett) Gibbs. Jane was married to Bob R. Glasford on September 22, 1956. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2012. Jane was an active member of Unity Baptist Church. She retired from the Callaway County Collectors Office in 2003. Jane was happiest when she was at home cleaning house and preparing meals for her family. Jane loved planning large family gatherings and preparing fried chicken for her family. Jane will be missed by her family and friends, including daughters, Rhonda Metz (Bill) of Fulton and Michele Brooks (Bob) of Fulton; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Glasford-Tarrants; brother, Larry Gibbs; sisters, Janet Foster (Chuck) of Lohman, Faye Ann Pittman of Texas, and Jill Atterberry (Paul Zendt) of Fulton; grandchildren, Jeremy Hinnah, Andrew Gohring, Ashley Wilson, Alex Gohring, Adele Glasford, Ariana Glasford, Shawn Brooks, and Justin Brooks; great-grandchildren, Maddison Hinnah, Emmett Gohring, Melody Gohring, Quinn Brooks, Mia Glasford-Tarrants, and Chloe Glasford-Tarrants; and many nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Edward Glasford; and brothers, Lewis, Joe, Jack, and Raymond Gibbs. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Brother Delbert Hampton officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
