Margo Kielbasa

Margot Elsbeth Kielbasa, 93, of Fulton, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Margot was born on June 14, 1926, in Gotha, Germany. She married Stefan Kielbasa while living in Germany and together, they immigrated to the United States in 1949. They lived and worked on their farm in Callaway County and Stefan preceded Margot in death in August of 1999. Margot loved to bake and she will be remembered for her homemade rolls and how she picked her own gooseberries and made gooseberry pie. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling around the area to play bingo. She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Wetherell of Fulton; one son, Andy Kielbasa of Fulton; five grandchildren, William (Mary) Wetherell, Gary (Shawn) Wetherell, Joe (Janelle) Wetherell, Linsey Kielbasa, Bryce Kielbasa and Renea' Schmid all of Fulton along with eight great-grandchildren, Alexis, Kassandra, Mackenzie, Tyler, Kyle, Aiden, Kelsey, Rylynne. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Horst; two sisters, Waltroud and Erica and her son-in-law, Bill Wetherell. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019, in the mausoleum chapel at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton.
