Mrs. Rosie M. Gillette, 84, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Mrs. Rosie was born in Columbia, Missouri on May 5, 1933, to the late Arthur and Tessie (Logan) Nichols. On January 19, 1957, Rosie married Russell Gillette who preceded her in death. Rosie started working at an early age at Kingdom Café and filled in at Kappa Alpha Fraternity. She later went to work at Phi Delta Theta as a cook and retired after 30 years. Rosie was a member of Second Christian Church in Fulton. Survivors include 11 children, Gary Nichols, Teresa Nichols, Rosanna Smith (Michael), Larry Gillette (Vanessa), Deianna Gillette, Carla Berry (Lee) Ronnie Gillette (Kay), Pam Gillette, all of Fulton, and Carl Gillette (Rosie) of Anchorage, Alasda, Connie Crowley of St. Louis, and Debbie Harris (Charles) of Memphis, Tenn.; 22 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; two sisters; and three grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Callaway Christian Church in Fulton with Reverend Cedric Harris and Reverend Bernard Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Southside Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.maupinfuneralhome.com.
