Anna Vivian White

Anna Vivian White, 94, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018. She was born on September 24, 1923, in northeast rural Callaway County, to the late James Taylor Pasley and Annie Elizabeth Miller Pasley. She was married on January 31, 1942, to N. Wailon White in Mexico. He preceded her in death. She was employed for many years by Orma E. Mackey, Realtor and Insurance in Mexico. Vivian had many interest and passions. She was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mexico. She was very involved with church activities for many years. She was involved with volunteering at King's Daughters. She was a founding member of the "Screechy Owl Dancers" of Mexico. They were interested in Native American lifestyles and customs. Their group traveled extensively to pow wows and gatherings as well as demonstrating Indian dance and customs at public events. Vivian had five siblings: Mary Haden Tratchel, John Creed Pasley, Ada Virginia Willis, James Taylor Pasley and Edward Lee Pasley. They all preceded her in death. She is survived by several nieces and nephews: Olan Tratchel (Lyndenette), Jim Willis (Marja), Peggy Willis Martin (Wayne), Rose Mary (Tratchel) Adams, Temple Willis Yancey (John), Petra Pasley Watkins, Jeannette Willis Davis, Lynn Pasley (Sharon) and Paul Pasley (Lois). Also surviving are three sisters-in-law, Maye McDowell, Lois White and Susan White. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 7, 201, at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Mexico.
