Robert Dale Vandeloecht

Robert Dale Vandeloecht, 85, of Fulton, was reunited with his wife and son on Sunday, December 10, 2017. He was born on November 7, 1932 in Steedman, the son of the late Leslie Vandeloecht and the late Elda (Becker) Vandeloecht. On July 25, 1953, Bob married Treva (Maddox) Vandeloecht. They were married for nearly 64 years when Treva passed away on June 3, 2017. Bob retired from Central Electric in 1994 after more than 30 years of service. He was an active member of Central Christian Church for more than 60 years, serving on various committees throughout that time. When their children were at home, Treva and Bob lead ChiRho, the church youth group. For many years, he was a leader with the local 4-H. Bob and Treva hosted the Boy Scout Camporee on their property for several years. Along with his wife, Bob was instrumental in the implementation of the Eric D. Vandeloecht Memorial Scholarships offered annually on behalf of their son through Fulton High School and the University of Missouri Columbia. Bob enjoyed working with his livestock and time spent on the farm. He always had a smile and story and enjoyed visiting with everyone. Those who remain to cherish Bob's memory include daughter, Joneta Dudley (Dennis) of Columbia; brother, Charles Vandeloecht (Joyce) of Fulton; sister, Ruby Liddle of Fulton; brothers-in-law, Richard Schwallenstecker and Richard Adams of Fulton; sisters-in-law, Rose Vandeloecht, Gertrude Vandeloecht, Brenda Vandeloecht and Margaret Vandeloecht, all of Fulton; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. Along with his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by son, Eric Vandeloecht; brothers, Clifford Vandeloecht, Harold Vandeloecht, Ronnie Vandeloecht, and Wayne Vandeloecht; sisters, Phyllis Schwallenstecker, Irene Pope, Garnell Hook, and Bonnie Adams; and brothers-in-law, Ray Liddle, Joe Pope, and Junior Hook. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Nigus officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
