Lena Mae Stock, 86, of Tebbetts, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. She was born July 19, 1928, on a farm near Tebbetts, to the late Alfred Edward Autenrieth and the late Viola Caroline (Carrie) Howard Autenrieth. On May 11, 1946, she was united in marriage to Calvin M. Stock at Mokane, Missouri. To this union, six children were born - Billie Wayne, Calene (Steve Cooper), Joy Mealy, Edward, Gary (Kathleen), and Jon (Kim). Lena Mae has rejoined her parents, siblings, beloved husband, and first born child (Billie) in the next life, and will be dearly missed by her five remaining children, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. In August of 1938, Lena Mae became a member of the Tebbetts United Methodist Church. She graduated from Mokane High School in 1946. Lena Mae thoroughly enjoyed serving her church, teaching Sunday school for over 50 years, holding various church offices, and participating in many related activities such as Bible school. She also enjoyed being a member of the United Methodist Women's Group. In 1948 she became a member and served as an officer of the Princess Rebekah Lodge 813 at Tebbetts, and was President of District #9 in 1980. In 1979 she was President of the Extension Homemakers Clubs of Callaway County which encompassed 33 of them. Lena Mae was a hardworking farm wife and an excellent cook, canning numerous vegetables and fruits throughout her life. She loved devoting time to help her children succeed in their interests: piano lessons and band, 4-H, Cub Scouts, ceramics, choir practice, Jayettes pep club, and football. The family enjoyed many years at their cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks. After her children were grown, she became a part-time postmaster at Steedman Post office for a few years. Lena Mae enjoyed traveling with her loving husband, Calvin, covering most of the United States, as well as visiting Canada, Mexico, the Scandinavian capitols, St. Petersburg, Russia, and eight other countries in Europe. She was a member of the Barkersville Quilting Club. She loved gardening, painting, reading, card playing, crocheting, sewing, and quilting. She was well-known for giving away numerous quilts. The greatest love of her life was entertaining her family and friends for Sunday lunch. Her signature dishes included fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, rolls, fresh vegetables, and pies. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery at Tebbetts.
