Betty Ann Salmons, 77, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Betty was born August 28, 1937, in Mexico, Missouri to Alfred and Virginia Wise Young and they preceded her in death. She was married to Leo Wallace Salmons on April 19, 1957, in Fulton and he preceded her in death in 1987. She was a 1955 graduate of Fulton High School and worked for 19 years for the United States Department of Agriculture, 10 years for Missouri School for the Deaf and ten years at Callaway Community Hospital. Betty was a member of Church of God Holiness and had been a member of the Callaway Combo Singing Group who are known for entertaining at local nursing homes. She enjoyed working on genealogy and learning about her family history and she loved the Missouri Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals. She is survived by son, Mark (Angela) Salmons of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; brother, Carlton (Arline) Young of Hermann, Missouri; step-brother, Lynn Carrington of Carrington, Missouri; sister Roberta (Ken) Fisher of Columbia, Missouri along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. Betty was also preceded in death by her step-father, Roy Carrington and daughter-in-law, Laura Leigh Salmons. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Church of God Holiness, 305 E. Second Street in Fulton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of God Holiness, 305 E. Second Street, Fulton, Missouri 65251.
