John Schollmeyer

John Walter Schollmeyer, 85, of Mexico, Mo., passed away on March 4, 2015, at Audrain Medical Center. John was born September 17, 1929, in Tebbetts, to Henry and Ida Hemeyer Schollmeyer and they preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Mokane High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. John was a long time resident of the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico and he loved baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals. He is survived by: sisters, Ida Cheney and Alvena Colter both of Ellisville, Mo.; one niece; three nephews; and many other loving family members. He was also preceded in death by four brothers. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, Mo. Burial with military honors will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Tebbetts, Mo. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
