William Carroll Johnson, 81, of Fulton, Mo., passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015, after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born on October 19, 1933 in Fulton, Mo. Bill was a loving husband, a devoted father, loving uncle, and friend to many. Bill was in the U.S. Air force and honorably discharged in 1961. He graduated from Fulton High School in 1952 and from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor's degree in Geology. He then continued on working for the Air Force as a civilian for 54 years as Director of the Air Force Special Support Group, "Si Ego Certiorem Faciam...Mihi Tu Delendus Eris". He dedicated his life to the safety and security of our country, retiring at the tender age of 78. Bill traveled with his beloved wife, Cam to the four corners of the world, and had a great passion for cruising. He was very active with the alumni association of Fulton High in Fulton, Missouri and created and maintained an alumni website for several years. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Cathrine A. Johnson (Cam); son, Mark S. Johnson and his wife, Lynn Johnson; his daughter, Cindy L. Casey and her husband, John M. Casey. Bill was also a loving Grandfather to Jesse P. Johnson, Heather M. Fuller and Zackary A. Casey. The family gives special thanks to the team of caring doctors and nurses who helped care for Bill. With thanks to staff at the Tate Cancer Center, the Visiting Nurses Association, and the Mandarin Hospice House. Relatives and Friends were invited to join the family for a Memorial on Saturday, January 24, 2015, that was held from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and the Service and Military honors began at 7:00 p.m. at McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, 3204, Mountain Road Pasadena, MD.
