William Jones

William "Bill" Floyd Jones, 71, of Fulton, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015, at Harry S. Truman Veteran Hospital in Columbia. He was born July 6, 1943 in Musselfork, Missouri, to Edmon and Ruby Harman Jones and they preceded him in death. Bill served in the U.S. Army and worked for several years for BNSF Railroad. He then owned and operated B&J Auction Company and a salvage yard just outside of Fulton. He is survived by his significant other of 18 years, Freda Mikel of Fulton; daughters, Mary Jones of Jefferson City and Patty Jones of Columbia; son, Bill Jones of Vandalia; sisters, Jean (Wayne) Goff of Fulton and Bess (Bob) Henley of Columbia; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
