Betty Yancey

Betty Jean Yancey, 78, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015, at her home. Betty was born July 16, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Charles and Jewell Sparks Bradbury and they preceded her in death. She was married on July 12, 1954, in her home near Guthrie, Missouri to David F. Yancey Jr. and he preceded her in death. She was a 1954 graduate of Fulton High School and she drove a school bus in Fulton for over 40 years. Betty was a member of Dry Fork Baptist Church in Guthrie and she loved to spend time outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and taking care of her pets. Survivors include her sons, Kent (Christy) Yancey, Dale (Nicole) Yancey and Darrell (Teresa) Yancey, all of Fulton; step-mother, Emily Clatterbuck of Fulton; step-sister, Elaine (Bill) Jurgensmeyer of Brazito; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; lifelong friend, Virginia Carter of Fulton; and her beloved pet, Princess. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Vernon Clatterbuck, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Fulton. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
