Walter Joseph Moritz

Walter Joseph Moritz, 94, of Fulton, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015, at his home. He was born on May 24, 1920 in St. Louis, the son of the late Joseph Pasquale Moritz and the late Ella Dora (Meyerhoff) Moritz. Walter was a retired dairy worker. He attended the United Church of Christ. He enjoyed baseball and trains and loved his pets. Walter felt a special kinship with his Union Teamsters. Walter is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Rogers (Jack) of Fulton, Maureen Montgomery of Fenton, Mo., and Gail Legge (Wayne) of Fulton; grandchildren, Christopher and Brad Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Lana and Hugh Montgomery; and nephews, Steven and Terry Moritz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Moritz; parents; and brother, Edward Moritz. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Callaway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum on Monday, February 23, 2015. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the mausoleum.
