Ollie Brewer

Ollie G. Brewer, 80, of Fulton, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia. He was born July 3, 1934, in Fulton, the son of the late William Henry Brewer and the late Gladys (Selby) Brewer. Ollie was united in marriage to Bonnie (Meyer) Brewer on April 21, 1961. She survives at their home. Ollie proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon his return, he went back to work at Harbison Walker. He remained there for 40 years until his retirement. He then went to work for Vandelicht Trucking for 10 years, which he enjoyed very much. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on race cars for his son and grandson. This is what made his life worthwhile. Along with his wife, Bonnie, Ollie is survived by his children, Sonia Foster and her husband Terry, and Scott Brewer, all of Fulton; and three grandchildren, Kyle Sielfleisch, Stephanie Brewer, and Jake Brewer. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Brewer and Henry Brewer; sister, Ruby Gowins; brother-in-law, Oliver Gowins; and sisters-in-law, Eleven Brewer and Wanda Brewer. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Mark Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
