Lucette Marcelle Smith

Lucette Marcelle Smith, 84, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2014, at Fulton Presbyterian Manor. She was born in France on September 26, 1929, the daughter of the late Pierre Huybrechts and the late Marguerite (Berton) Huybrechts. On April 20, 1946, she was united in marriage to Vernon Smith. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2013. Lucette was a member of Good Shepard Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Among those remaining to mourn her loss include three daughters, Linda Clark (Jack) of Vancouver, Wash., Nancy Smith of Chaffee, Mo., and Sharon Holladay (David) of Rogers, Ariz.; one brother; two sisters; four grandchildren, Heather Hoffman, Melanie Rush, Jeremy Ballance, and Michael Clark; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Lucette was preceded in death by one grandson, Troy Clark; and great-grandson, Ryan Berrey. Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fulton with Father Frank Bussmann officiating.
