John Earl Gibson

John Earl Gibson, age 68, of High Hill, Mo., passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, Mo. He was born to Clarence and Laureen (Conner) Gibson on October 13, 1945, in Truesdale, Mo. He was united in marriage to Regina M. Jones. John was a retired construction worker for APAC Construction in St. Louis, Mo. He loved to help children, by donating much of his time and money to the "Toys for Tots' program. He also loved being a member of the Flying Panthers Motorcycle Club. He loved time with his family and spending time with his grandchildren. John is survived by his wife, Regina Gibson; four sons, John Gibson Jr., Brent Gibson, Daramiah Gibson and Trey Gibson; four daughters, Colette Long, Camilla Gibson, Valonda Watson and Tennille Jones; two sisters, Shirley Martin and Mary Davis; one brother, Herbert Connor; over 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends. John was proceeded in death by his father, Gilbert Gibson, his mother, Lorraine Connor, one sister, Donna Jordan, two brothers, Marvin Burton and Kenneth Connor, and one daughter, Trish Long. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Martin Funeral Home, 510 East Main St., Warrenton, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with memorial service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. at Warrenton City Cemetery, Warrenton, Mo. Memorials can be given to Toys for Tots, c/o Martin Funeral Home, 510 East Main Street, Warrenton, Mo., 63383. The family of John Gibson trusts Martin Funeral Home with his care.
