Shalonda Aletha Young, 31, of Fulton, was called home to the glory by our heavenly father on Friday, June 27, 2014. She was born August 7, 1982, to Marcha (Galbreath) Collier of Fulton and Michael Young of Warrenton. Shalonda joined New Richland Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, till her journey to Des Moines, Iowa for several years. When she returned to Missouri to be close to family, she returned also as a member of her beloved church. Shalonda worked for Bridgeway RCF until her illness. She gave much love to others she came into contact with and her contagious smile was always a blessing to be around. Shalonda leaves to cherish her memories: her parents; one son, K'Dynn Lamarr Fulce of Fulton; one sister, Angela Hawkins (Nakia) of Fulton, special friend, Lamarr Fulce of Fulton; paternal grandmother, Mary Alice Young of Jonesburg; two nieces, NaKayla Hawkins and Sade Wright, and two nephews, William D. Galbreath Jr. and Nakia Hawkins Jr., all of Fulton; six aunts, five uncles, and a host of cousins, family and friends. Shalonda was preceded in death by her first son, Daceon Deon Galbreath; one brother, William D. Galbreath Sr.; one paternal uncle, Dale Young; maternal grandparents, Orville and Margaret Galbreath; and paternal grandfather, Hullee F. Jones. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Callaway Christian Church in Fulton with Pastor Moses Carbin officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at New Richland Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Fulton.
