Robert James Bomerito

Robert James Bomerito Sr., 76, of Fulton, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at the Fulton Manor Care Center. He was born March 5, 1937, in St. Louis, the son of the late Sam and Antonette (Mroczkowski) Bomerito. On April 6, 1957, he married LaVerne Werley in St. Louis. She survives of the home. Robert was a 26 year veteran of the St. Louis Police Department. On April 6, 1997, he renewed his marriage vows with his lovely wife in the Bethel Methodist Church in Readsville. He enjoyed woodworking, he was an avid reader, and loved science fiction. Robert loved children, especially his grandkids. He is survived by wife LaVerne of Fulton; one son, Robert James (Pamela) Bomerito Jr. of Foristell, Mo.; one grandchild, Briana (Scott) Jansen of Marthasville, Mo; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Cole Jansen. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Michael Bomerito and one sister, Jeanette Askins. Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
