Everett Lee Branson

Everett Lee Branson, 83, of Holts Summit, formerly of Auxvasse, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014, at the Harry S. Truman Veteran's Hospital in Columbia. He was born on March 26, 1931, in Jefferson City, the son of the late William Alonzo Branson and the late Bessie Alice Branson. On April 14, 1950, Everett was united in marriage to the love of his life, Wanda Lee Heather. She survives his passing. Everett worked at A.P. Green for 42 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and tinkering with old cars, including his latest project, a 1975 Beetle. Along with his wife of 64 years, Everett's memory will be cherished by his son, Roy Branson (Sue) of Columbia; daughter, Alice Sue Spurlock (Jon) of Holts Summit; daughter-in-law, Debbie Branson of Auxvasse; brother, Clarence Branson (Shirley) of Holts Summit; nine grandchildren, Becky Branson of Ashland, Amy Lekey (Scott) of Dixon, Josh Branson (Lillie) of Mexico, Kim Oligschlaeger (Matt) of St. Elizabeth, Mark Branson of Springfield, Ricky Branson of Auxvasse, Deanna Shumard of Holts Summit, Matthew Shumard of Fulton, and Jessica Bias of Columbia; three step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Everett was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, William and Kenneth Branson; three brothers; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Dr. Mike Haldeman officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Auxvasse Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Harry S.
