Clarence Edward Coffelt

Clarence Edward Coffelt Sr., 70, of Fulton, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at his home, after a battle with cancer. Mr. Coffelt was born November 8, 1943, in Fulton, Missouri, a son of Charles Elijah and Ruth Ladell Landers Coffelt. On December 26, 1969, in Banner, Missouri, he married Peggy Jean Gaston. She preceded him in death on August 17, 2005. Eddie has lived in Fulton since 2006. He had lived in Wellsville from 1999 to 2006. Prior to that, he lived in Mokane, but had grown up in Fulton. He had previously been employed at Stride Rite Shoe Factory in Fulton and had also worked as a mechanic for Colleen Moore's garage in Fulton. Eddie was a member of the former Wellsville Bible Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, working with small engines and listening to his scanners. When he would get bored, he would even mow his neighbor's yards. Eddie is survived by his children, Angela Flowers, of Fulton, Clarence Edward "Eddie" Coffelt Jr. and wife Courtney, of Fulton and Amy Jo LeBlanc and husband, Josh, of Berwick, Louisiana; his companion, Alice Faye Coffelt, of Fulton; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Anthony and Tami Rawls, of Mexico, Dustin Meeker, of Smyrna, Tennessee, Laith Meeker, Curtis Coffelt and Adam Coffelt, of Fulton, Ian LeBlanc, Natalie LeBlanc and Allie LeBlanc, of Berwick, Louisiana; Kaylee and Blake Pringle, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Brandy Freeman and Robyn and Ryan Witt, of Fulton; eight great-grandchildren, Mia Meeker and Melody Meeker, of Columbia, Kate Rawls, of Mexico, Jerzi Coffelt, Dayton Coffelt, Aspyn Coffelt, Savanna Coffelt and Greyson Coffelt, of Fulton; two brothers, Harold Coffelt and wife, Pat, and Gene Coffelt, of Fulton; in addition to nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jean Coffelt; daughter, Cheryl Ann Coffelt and parents, Charles and Ruth Coffelt. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16, at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens, north of Montgomery City. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Coffelt, Curtis Coffelt, Josh LeBlanc, Dustin Meeker, Laith Meeker and Anthony Rawls. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Coffelt, Steve Craven, Josh Delozier and Ryan Witt. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday, at the funeral home.
