Richard Raymond Warner, 74, formerly of Mokane, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013, in Harlingen, Texas. He was born December 11, 1939, in Fulton, Mo., the son of the late Emil Nick Warner and the late Alma Mary (Wendring) Warner. He was united in marriage to Lona Sharon (Nichols) Warner on December 4, 1965. She survives at their home. Richard proudly served his country in the Missouri National Guard. He enjoyed being a salesman and dealing in real estate. His hobbies included farming and traveling. Those who knew him will remember him as being quite the jokester. Along with his wife of over 47 years, Richard is survived by his brother, Kenneth Warner and his wife Mona of Mokane; nieces Melissa Bonderer, Tracy Truong (Kim); nephew, Ryan Warner (Candace); great-niece, Maylee Truong: and great-nephews, Matthew Bonderer, Chris Bonderer, Sam Bonderer, Aidan Truong, and Landon Truong. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home with Reverend Ed Varnum officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in New Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to First Christian Church or Callaway Betterment Foundation for the Fulton Animal Shelter, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
