Norma Watson

Norma Leona (Gallatin) Watson, 89, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, January, 5, 2013, at Fulton Manor Care Center. She was born October 12, 1923, in Bluffton, the daughter of the late Paul Hubert Gallatin and the late Dolly M. (Northern) Gallatin. On June 30, 1942, she was united in marriage to Frank Watson, who survives her passing. Norma graduated from Mokane High School in 1941 and began her teaching career in the one room schools in Callaway County. She ended her career at McIntire School in Fulton, teaching a total of 37 years. Norma received her master's degree from the University of Missouri and was a member of the Church of God (Holiness) in Fulton. In addition to her husband, Norma will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one brother, Paul J. Gallatin and wife, Lena Belle, of Fulton; two sisters-in-law, Sue Gallatin of Ga. and Cary Ann Gallatin of Fulton; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth L. Gallatin and Grant H. Gallatin. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Travis Sayler officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service also at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Steedman Cemetery.
