Louise Elizabeth Leopold

Louise Elizabeth Leopold, 93, of Auxvasse, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Audrain Medical Center. She was born March 24, 1920, in Fulton, the daughter of the late George William Fischer and the late Edna Elizabeth (Bonard) Fischer. On December 18, 1942, Louise was united in marriage to Leo Henry Leopold, who preceded her in death on July 24, 1999. Louise was a member of the Auxvasse City Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker known for her good cooking and many dishes requested by family and friends at dinners. Louise was a 4-H leader and member of the Harrison Extension Club and Early Risers Club for many years. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren and playing cards with her friends. Louise will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter, Donna Sue Quinlan and husband James of Mexico; three brothers, Leonard (Marie) Fischer, Robert E. (Betty) Fischer, and Willis Fischer, all of Fulton; three sisters-in-law, Mabel Fischer, Bea Fischer, and Peggy Fischer, all of Fulton; six grandchildren, Trish Sumrall of Scottsdale, Ariz, Trina (David) Painter of Flagstaff, Ariz, Steven (Lisa) Leopold of Cave Creek, Ariz, Daniel (Dot) Quinlan of Mexico, Michael (Catherine) Quinlan of Mexico, and Susan Quinlan of Columbia; and 10 great- grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, and Hunter Leopold, Hannah and Chloe Painter, and Caleb, Lauren, Zachary, Tyler, and Jacob Quinlan. In addition to her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in death by one son, James Lee Leopold; three brothers, Marvin, Wallace, and Homer Fischer; one sister, Juanita White; and one brother-in-law, Marlyn White. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Auxvasse City Presbyterian Church in Auxvasse with Pastor Jim Graham officiating. Interment will be held at the Auxvasse Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2013, also at Auxvasse City Presbyterian Church.
