Raymond Earl Kemp

Raymond Earl Kemp, 81, of Mexico, died Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Pin Oaks Nursing Center in Mexico, after an extended illness. Raymond was born in Callaway Co., Hams Prairie, Mo., on January 20, 1930, the son of Otis Henry and Lenora Delphia (Rogers) Kemp. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and on November 20, 1954, he married Frances Louise Jenkins in Cedar City. She preceded him in death on June 23, 2003. He retired from A.P. Greenís after 43 years, was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, VFW, American Legion, and Little Dixie C.B. Club. He is survived by two daughters, Marla Holtkamp and husband Forrest, and Darla Todd and husband Fred, both of Mexico; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Robert, Floyd, and Carl. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Marty Holtkamp on May 4, 2000; four brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be Monday from 12 Noon till service time at the Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 19, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
