Lois Jean Love, 81, of Auxvasse, departed this life on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at her home. She was born to Leo and Sibyl (DeShan) Moore in Carthage, Missouri on January 28, 1940. On September 26, 1959, she was united in marriage to Gilbert Lee Love. They had celebrated 51 years of marriage before his passing on July 14, 2011. Jean and Gilbert had three children, all of them surviving. At the time of her passing, Jean was a member of Grand Prairie Baptist Church and gladly served in many capacities. Jean worked before children came along for Boyd and Boyd Abstracts. She left when she went into labor with Susan. Bill Boyd always kidded her that she owed him fifteen minutes of work for leaving early. Jean later retired from Dunavant's Drugs. Jean enjoyed cross stitch, gardening, monthly lunches with her high school girlfriends, and dancing with Gilbert. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Pasley and her husband Dale of Auxvasse, and Linda Gubera and her husband Mark of Fulton; son, Regan Love and his wife Colette of Auxvasse; grandchildren, Rachel Webster (Doug), Garett Gubera (Karen), Rylee Gubera (Brendan Rowe), Alex Gubera, Carley Gubera, Ashley Brinker (Zach), and Justus Love; and great-grandchildren, Michael and Cora Wieschhaus, Miriam and Olen Webster, Kylee Gubera, and Magnolia Brinker. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Marie McCully and many other family members and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Charles Moore and Billy Moore. It is great to know that Jean is reunited with Gilbert, and they are dancing together again. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 6, 2021, at Grand Prairie Baptist Church in Auxvasse. Friends will be received at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Auxvasse Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Grand Prairie Baptist Church, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
