Jerry Richmond, 75, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Boone Hospital in Columbia. Jerry Wayne Richmond was born in Fulton, Missouri on January 26, 1946, the only child of Buddy Cooper and Irene Richmond. Jerry was born, raised, loved, and made his transition in his beloved, Fulton. Jerry often spoke of his childhood on the farm and the love he had for the farm and his adoring grandparents. Jerry had immeasurable strength, tremendous wit, charm, never met a stranger, and he had a special place in his heart for the senior community. His career with the Construction Laborers Union spanned over several decades. When he wasn't working, he loved spending time with his buddies, AKA, Super Bowl Club. After retirement, he dedicated his time and resources to the local senior community by providing meals and helping to maintain their homes. He loved his family and friends dearly. He leaves to celebrate his life, his four children: Crystal, Wynde, Jerry (Dorothy) and his beloved baby girl, Irennasha Richmond (Fredetta); nine grandchildren: Caress, Zanah, Daajahane, Aizha, Deareyon, Zane, Chloe, Jerry, and Naomi; one precious great-granddaughter: Zahnel. He was a hero to many, a helper to those in need, strong to the finish, confident, and always positive. He was a jack-of-all trades and he had the knowledge and skill to survive and thrive with his two bare hands. There will never be another Jerry Wayne Richmond. Funeral services, under the direction of H.T. May and Son Funeral Home, will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Guiding Light Baptist Church in Fulton.
