Gary Wayne McDonald

Gary Wayne McDonald, 60, of St. Charles, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at SSM St. Louis. He was born on August 31, 1961, in Callaway County to the late Leroy McDonald and the late Mary (Lammers) McDonald. Following graduation from Fulton High School in 1978, Gary continued his education at University of Missouri Rolla where he obtained his Bachelors degree. He retired from Boeing where he worked as an engineer on experimental military aircraft. Gary maintained ties to Fulton and was a member of the Fulton Breakfast Optimist. While not a regular at meetings, he could be counted on to work fish frys and other fundraising events. He loved NASCAR, and Cardinal baseball, but his first passion was Mizzou sports. Gary is survived by a sister-in-law, Vicky McDonald; brother-in-law, Walter Wilber; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles McDonald; and sister, Betty Lee Wilber. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
