Sam Lee Kuder

Sam Lee Kuder, 85, of Fulton, Mo., passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021, at Ashland Healthcare in Ashland, Mo. Sam was born on November 17, 1935, in Joplin, Mo., the son of Frank and Mary (Wood) Kuder, who preceded him in death. He was married to Gayle (Spruge) Kuder, who preceded him in death in 2000. He then married Ping in China, and she also preceded him in death in 2014. Sam was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the 101st Airborne from 1958-1961. After 32 years, he retired from Callaway County as the County surveyor. He was a proud member of New Bloomfield Masonic Lodge, where he earned his degree as a Master Mason. Sam and his son, Samuel, spent many years traveling throughout several states performing Civil War reenactments. Survivors include: his son, Samuel Kuder (Jill Hughes) of Fulton, Mo.; four grandchildren, Shelby, Julie, Jessica and Jackie; six great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Orlie Kuder and Frank Kuder; and one sister, Darlene Landon. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
