Sam Grabb Jr, 92, of Fulton, Mo., passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021, at Harry S Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Mo. Sam was born on September 18, 1928, in Monticello, Ill., the son of Sam and Daisy (Gascoigne) Grabb, who preceded him in death. In 1950, he was united in marriage to June Ellen Golden in Illinois. Sam was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of Callaway Christian Church in Fulton, Mo. He retired in 1985 from John Deere as their parts manager. Sam enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and will be missed by his family. Survivors include: three sons, Steve Grabb (Pat) of Fulton, Mo., Michael Grabb (Kelly) of Pasadena, Texas and Brett Grabb (Sharon) of Crystal River, Fla.; one daughter, Helen Merrell (Arvin) of Aledo, Texas; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, June Grabb in 1991; one daughter, Sharol Phillips; one great-grandson, Jeffrey Thompson Jr.; and two sisters. Sam has requested to be cremated and will be inurned in the Monticello Township Cemetery in Monticello, Ill. at a later date.
