June M. Simonin, 87, of Fulton, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. June was born on April 24, 1934, in St. Louis, to Jim and Edith Giaimo. On July 4, 1964, June married Johnny A. Simonin. June owned a restaurant called the Southside Café in Fulton for several years. She also cleaned homes, later retiring with her husband. June's greatest joys were her faith, spending time with her family and scratching lottery tickets. She also loved telling jokes, watching TV and in her younger years, sewing and baking. June was full of knowledge, she had an answer for everything. She was a giver and very compassionate about all she cared for. June is survived by her children, Johnny N. Simonin (Michelle) of Fulton and Lisa Denny (Rick) of New Bloomfield; two granddaughters, Ashley Simonin of Fulton and Katherine Simonin (Dustin) of Kingdom City; four step- grandchildren, Julia Haskins (Jesse) of Kansas City, Becca Bentlage (Garrett) of Holts Summit, Kayla McClure (Jon) of Laddonia, and Shawn Steffan of Fulton; eight great-grandchildren, Ellarissa, Ty, Rylee, Daniel, Kurt, Farrah, Amelia, and Harper; one brother, Sam Giaimo (Beverly); two sisters, Mamie Ramano and Sara Kreider (Charles), all of St. Louis; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her husband Johnny, a brother, Joe Maniscalco and his wife Jackie. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Unity Baptist Church in Fulton. Burial will follow the service in the Old Auxvasse Nine Mile Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
