Willis E. Linneman

Willis E. Linneman, 90, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Willis, was born February 25, 1931, to Adolph and Lela (Imgarten) Linneman. He graduated from the University of Missouri after serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Willis was united in marriage to Gwyndolyn Nadine Guilford on December 27, 1952, and together raised three children until her passing in 1986. He was employed at the University of Missouri in Fiscal Affairs and Management from 1967 until retirement in 1997. For the last 17 years Willis lived in Fulton with his partner Joneda Phillips since 2004, and enjoyed providing tax services with AARP to fellow retirees. Willis was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Norvell, Verdell, and Ronald Linneman; a brother-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Guilford; and two grandsons, Ryan Linneman and Sean Hengel. He is survived by his sister, Enid Guilford; three sisters-in-law: Sue (Norvell), Doris (Verdell), and Karen Sue (Ronald); three children: David and (Traci) Linneman, Laura Hengel, and Judith Linneman; nine grandchildren: Nicholas, Dustin, Kyle Ashleigh, Benjamin, Christina, Hunter, Reyndon and Rhyezin: and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Saturday, May 8, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbia, Missouri with a Memorial services following at 11:00 a.m. Interment of his ashes at Asbury Cemetery will be held after the services.
