Wayne Alan Berry

Wayne Alan Berry, age 60, of New Bloomfield, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at his home. Alan was born on December 7, 1960, in Fulton, Mo. He was the son of the late Howard Monroe and Carrie Mae (Baker) Berry. Alan was married on July 11, 2018, at their home in New Bloomfield, Mo. to Dixie Trester, who survives. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Alan was a 1979 graduate of New Bloomfield High School. He later earned a Microcomputer Electronics Degree from Microcomputer Technology Institute in Houston, Texas in 1986. Alan possessed a strong work ethic and took pride in building a business that operated on the basis of integrity and compassion. He owned and operated CornerStone Lawn Care for nearly 20 years and loved the relationships he formed through his business. Alan lived, breathed, and loved fescue. He was a member of Solid Rock Church where he assisted as an usher and as part of the security team. Alan enjoyed the time he was able to spend with the congregation and was passionate about both his faith and being a servant of God. Alan spent much of his time outdoors either mowing, hunting, fishing, or exploring the areas around central Missouri. His sons have fond memories of fishing with him on Cedar Creek growing up. Quality time for Alan involved spending time outdoors and being surrounded by his family. His biggest accomplishment was being promoted to grandpa, especially when he was affectionately called "Pop Pop." He was known for his generosity and putting the needs of others above his own. Alan's family will remember him by his booming voice, his playful demeanor, his unapologetic honesty and being the rock of the Berry family. Survivors include: his loving wife, Dixie Trester-Berry; two sons, Keith Alan Berry (Leah) and Daniel Lee Berry (Katie), both of New Bloomfield, Mo.; his step-children, Rebecca Talley (Lance) and Kevin Lehman (Erin), both of Ozark, Mo.; his sister, Sharon Jarvis of New Bloomfield, Mo.; uncle, Roger Baker (Jan) of Holts Summit, Mo.; his beloved granddaughter, Eleanor Berry; and a step-granddaughter, Everly Jane Lehman. Other survivors include Josh and Jacob Rieken. A private family memorial service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Solid Rock Church, Special Olympics, Missouri Conservation or St. Jude's Children's Hospital. All contributions can be mailed to P.O.
