Robert Howard Snook, 89, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at his home. He was born in Mexico, Missouri to the late Leroy E. Snook and the late Anna M. (Lierhiemer) Snook on May 25, 1931. Bob was married to Wilma Faye (Leisinger) Snook for 19 years. He was later married to Donna J. (Welty) Snook on September 17, 1976. She survives his passing. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard in the Military Police and was stationed in Germany. Upon returning home, he worked at Fulton State Hospital where he worked as an occupational therapist. Bob was a member of Way-Word Lighthouse Center Fellowship. A talented craftsman, he enjoyed woodworking and wood carving. In his spare time, he liked to fish and play chess. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be fondly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Donna; sons, Joseph Snook (Rose) of Fulton, Timothy S. Rice (Bobbie) of Fulton, and Maurice A. Bishop (Kenzie Archer) of Fulton; daughters, Pentaloupe C. Snook (Brad Walker), Anglea C Kinney (Ken) of Fulton, and Jennifer D. Quick (Gary) of Fulton; brother, L. Edwin Snook (Helen) of Mission, Kan.; sister, Mary L. Corn (Arthur) of St. James; 37 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. He was looking forward to meeting numbers 37 and 38! He was preceded in death by his parents, and sons, Daniel R. Snook and Joseph L. Rice. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Martha Benningfield officiating. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
